Solomon began playing the Double Bass at age 12 after years of listening to Jazz records and admiring bassists such as Ron Carter and Paul Chambers. After moving to California in 2010 he attended programs such as the Stanford Jazz Workshop and Vail Jazz Workshop, as well as doing one year at Berkeley High School. Solomon then went on to attend the Interlochen Arts Academy where he was given the opportunity to perform in China as well as on NPR's "From the Top" as a soloist. Since 2015 Solomon has been living in New York City where he studied at the Manhattan School of Music Pre-college program and currently attends the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music on a full presidential scholarship. He has had the opportunity to study with many incredible musicians including Buster Williams, Reggie Workman, Linda Oh, Hal Galper, Matt Brewer, Chris Speed, Vic Juris and Andy Milne.
